Step into a senior leadership role as a Senior Storeperson, overseeing inventory and warehouse operations. Focus on system development and process optimization in a high-impact, hands-on environment.
Requirements include a strategic mindset and hands-on experience in heavy mechanical or industrial environments, along with expertise in inventory management, systems development, and team mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage receiving, issuing, tracking, and reconciling of all stock items
* Maintain accurate inventory levels and set reorder thresholds
* Proactively address obsolete and slow-moving stock
* Develop and implement a digital inventory management system
* Integrate system with workshop and procurement processes
* Mentor and supervise store personnel and apprentices
* Ensure efficient, compliant warehouse layout and operations
* Drive documentation accuracy and stock traceability
What We're Looking For:
* 5+ years' experience in a senior inventory/store role, preferably in heavy mechanical/industrial environments
* Strong understanding of parts and consumables for heavy equipment
* Demonstrated experience developing or implementing inventory systems (ERP, MRP, or custom)
* Proficiency with Excel and inventory platforms
* Solid organisational and leadership skills
* Forklift ticket (required)
