Role Highlights: Reporting to the Head of Tax & Financial Services, the Group Tax Manager will oversee and optimise ASC's Group Tax outcomes within the parameters of the Tax Risk Management and Governance Framework.

Responsibilities
* Planning and managing all taxation compliance activities across Australia and international jurisdictions
* Providing timely and accurate advice on corporate transactions, functions, policies and compliance
* Reviewing major contracts for tax consequences with a focus on risk mitigation
* Leading the implementation and oversight of ASC's Tax Risk Management and Governance Framework
* Managing relationships with Revenue Offices, external auditors, and tax advisors (domestic and international)
* Partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation to embed tax awareness and support commercial decision making
* Guiding and developing a team of three direct reports while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Candidate Profile
You will be a highly capable taxation professional with strong expertise in corporate tax and the ability to manage complex compliance and advisory matters. Ideally, you will bring a mix of technical depth and leadership capability, with the confidence to influence and advise senior stakeholders. Specifically, you will bring:
* Significant experience in corporate tax roles, with strong working knowledge of Australian taxation law
* Exposure to international taxation considerations such as permanent establishments and transfer pricing
* Sound understanding of Tax Governance and Risk Management Frameworks
* Ability to partner with business leaders on the tax impacts of contracts, transactions, and strategic decisions
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax concepts in a clear and practical way
* Experience leading and developing a team, with a collaborative and proactive leadership style
* CA/CPA professional membership (mandatory), with a Graduate Diploma in Taxation highly regarded
