Job Summary
We are hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support operations in Australia. This is a junior to mid-level, hunter-focused role, ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience. High-performing candidates will have the opportunity to progress into an Account Executive role.
As one of the first two hires on the Australia team, this role is ideal for someone proactive, adaptable, and self-driven. This is a remote role based in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, prospect, and engage new business opportunities across target industries in Australia
* Execute outbound sales activities, including cold outreach, lead qualification, and initial discovery calls
* Build, manage, and progress a pipeline of sales-qualified opportunities
* Collaborate with Account Executives and leadership to ensure effective handover of qualified leads
* Develop a strong understanding of the company's services to position solutions accurately and professionally
* Maintain accurate CRM records and report on activity, pipeline, and performance metrics
* Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine outreach strategies
* Represent the business professionally in client meetings, virtual presentations, and discovery discussions as required
Requirements
* 2-3 years of experience in a Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, or a hunter role, ideally within B2B, technology, IT services, or digital solutions
* Proven ability to generate and qualify new business opportunities through outbound efforts
* Strong communication skills with confidence, engaging senior stakeholders
* Self-driven, organised, and comfortable working in an early-stage team
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt quickly and take ownership
* Experience working with CRM systems and sales pipelines
* Based in Sydney, with flexibility for remote work
