Amazon Logistics is looking for an Operations Supervisor to support the Operations Shift Manager and drive innovation and execution in transportation networks. The role requires motivating a team to meet targets, managing attendance, workflow, and ensuring health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Support in developing a culture of health and safety practices and initiatives by complying with legislation and policy.
* Daily management of department duties.
* Act as Deputy for the Operations Shift Manager as required.
* Conduct debriefs of all staff and ensure accurate completion of paperwork.
* Carry out duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Assign work to staff to support workflow and daily metrics.
* Ensure sufficient resourcing for the function, including training needs, absence and performance management, coaching, and productivity monitoring.
* Assist with training new associates.
* Track, trend, and report departmental metrics.
* Analyze success and failure in meeting departmental and Delivery Station goals.
* Track and report hours and schedules for Associates.
* Follow up and solve process-related area issues.
* Ensure high‐standard equipment defect reporting.
Basic Qualifications
* Experience in warehouse operations.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
* Physical capability: lift up to 20 kg, stand/walk during shifts up to 10 hours, and perform frequent push, pull, squat, bend, and reach tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in logistics.
* Experience with data analysis.
* Experience managing teams.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
