**The Role**
Reporting to the National Logistics Manager, the basic purpose of your role is to organise, monitor and control the warehouse functions according to the daily plan. All the usual tasks - from container unpack, Customs and Biosecurity hold, put away or cross-dock, pallet storage, to replenishing, and pick/pack for despatch.
Your focus is to improve the output of the warehouse overall so we want you to bring your previous experience of improving warehouse operations.
- Your responsibilities will also include:_
- Ensuring a safe and cooperative working culture - lead by example
- Reviewing daily plans and making sure each shift is appropriately staffed
- Making sure all outbound freight is dispatched within timeframes - being proactive with communication when things don't go to plan so the Customer Service team can speak with clients
- Reviewing workflows and issuing plans through the system (Manhattan),
- Looking at equipment maintenance, coordinating any safety inspections and being a 'safe work champion'
**About You**
To be successful in this role you need:
- Previous experience within a 3PL environment is preferred as we want your valuable knowledge of improving output - once you know what IS there, we can shape what else SHOULD be there too
- Good problem-solving ability, good leadership skills, and a friendly attitude
- Experience in improving teams - helping your team grow and develop too
- Forklift licence - LO preferred but not essential as long as you know what LO outputs are realistic in the warehouse - this directly impacts profitability
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
