Offer description

A leading national occupational rehabilitation provider is seeking a motivated Osteopath or Occupational Therapist to join its collaborative team in Hobart, Tasmania. Operating within a private corporate healthcare structure as part of an industry-leading global network, this organization supports individuals overcoming illness, injury, or disability. The position is a permanent, full-time role with a commencement date in mid-2026, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work in a "family-feel" environment that prioritizes open communication and shared success. The team fosters a culture where practitioners can grow confidently while making a tangible impact on the local community through evidence-based, goal-oriented interventions.

In this diverse role as a Rehabilitation Consultant, the practitioner will manage a manageable caseload, supported by Rehabilitation Assistants who alleviate administrative burdens. Key responsibilities include conducting initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to address psychosocial barriers and identify suitable employment opportunities for clients. The consultant will apply clinical expertise across various schemes, including Workers Compensation, Comcare, and the Department of Veteran's Affairs, to improve return-to-health outcomes. A standout feature of this role is the exposure to innovative services such as a specialized pain education program that utilizes virtual reality and modern pain science to help clients re-train their brain and body.

Remuneration for the position is highly competitive and includes innovative incentive and bonus schemes, as well as monetary incentives through an employee referral program. The organization is committed to long-term career growth, offering a "promote from within" culture, a comprehensive onboarding program, and tailored development pathways. Corporate benefits are extensive, featuring a Fitness Passport for discounted gym access, salary packaging, novated leasing, and discounted health insurance. Furthermore, the organization supports employee well-being through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), parental and purchased leave options, and a vibrant health and wellness program with fun monthly team activities.

To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must hold a tertiary qualification in Osteopathy or Occupational Therapy and maintain full professional registration with AHPRA. While previous experience in the occupational rehabilitation industry is highly regarded, the provider warmly welcomes new graduates and provides a hands‐on approach to professional learning. Requirements include excellent communication and time‐management skills, a compassionate and empathetic nature, and a current driver's licence with access to a personal, comprehensively insured vehicle. This is an invitation to join a diverse, multidisciplinary team that values "Great People, Big Hearts, and Bold Ideas" in every aspect of their purposeful work.
