Catering Attendant Job Description
As a Catering Attendant, you will be an integral member of our team, working across various areas to prepare all elements required to deliver a memorable dining experience for passengers onboard our airline customer flights.
About the Role:
* You may perform a variety of roles across our kitchens, assembly and stores areas.
* Coordinate a safe, sanitized and hygienic environment for receiving, storage and work in progress areas.
* Responsible for sanitation of work areas within Stores, including cleaning, wiping down and presentation of equipment, benches, storage racks, fridges and freezer compartments.
Responsibilities:
1. Handle fresh food and ingredients in bulk (such as fruits, vegetables, proteins) moving them through sanitation stations, ensuring visual and handling checks match presentation specifications.
2. Assist Chefs to ensure items are carefully unpacked and handled with care, avoiding bruising, splitting or spoiling of produce.
3. Comply with Food Safety and HACCP guidelines, and adhere to strict hygiene standards and cleaning schedules, including accurate recording of cleaning times.
Requirements:
* Attention to detail and sharp focus on accurate record keeping.
* Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to take directions in English.
* Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as move and lift items safely.
* Availability to work shift work across a 7-day roster.
* Punctual, with neat and tidy presentation.
