Overview / Purpose of the Position This role is critical in driving the growth and market penetration of BSI's product certification solutions across areas including life protection, built environment, and energy. You will spearhead growth initiatives, cultivate new certification opportunities, and collaborate closely with our sales and marketing team to promote a range of BSI solutions that provide trust to our clients and their consumers. This role requires a proactive and results-oriented leader with a proven track record in business development, sales, and stakeholder engagement and strong knowledge of the regulations and market opportunities in the product certification space. Responsibilities & Accountabilities Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for product certification in alignment with BSI's objectives and values. Identify and capitalize on new certification opportunities within areas including life protection, construction, and energy. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to create synergies that drive certification business growth. Leverage your expertise in market access requirements, including CE Marking and relevant regulations, to guide certification strategies. Lead with a commercial mindset, developing and executing strategies to achieve revenue and sales targets. Proactively seek out and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand our presence. Manage and inspire a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation. Build strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs and drive positive outcomes. Stay at the forefront of industry trends and best practices, infusing innovation into certification strategies. Ensure that certification processes align with relevant regulations, standards, and industry requirements. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on certification business performance and growth opportunities. Collaborate with the operational team and department heads to ensure seamless integration and alignment of business development efforts with overall company objectives. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive brand awareness and lead generation. Represent BSI as a subject matter expert in product certification and related sectors at industry events and forums. Knowledge of relevant regulations, industry standards, and market access requirements, such as CE Marking, is highly advantageous. Skills and Abilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team toward common goals. Strong commercial acumen and business development experience. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
