About the opportunity
Reporting to the Medical Affairs department head, this is a pivotal role within a strategically growing portfolio. You will lead pre-launch and launch activities for a key asset, while contributing to the broader medical strategy across an expanding portfolio.
This role goes beyond execution, you will play a key role in shaping advocacy strategies, engaging with external experts, and influencing cross-functional decision-making. With strong visibility across senior stakeholders, this opportunity is suited to a high-potential individual looking to step into a more strategic role with opportunity for team/people leadership and progression to Associate Medical Director in the future.
Duties
* Lead pre-launch and launch medical strategy
* Contribute to portfolio-level strategic planning
* Develop and execute advocacy engagement plans
* Build and manage key external expert relationships
* Partner with Government Affairs and Advocacy and cross-functional teams
* Deliver advisory boards and medical education initiatives
* Provide scientific input into brand and business strategy
* Review materials for compliance and accuracy
* Lead or support strategic cross-functional projects
Skills and Experience (Mandatory)
* Australian Medical Affairs experience (Senior/Medical Manager, Medical Lead or Senior MSL)
* Life science or medical degree
* People leadership and/or mentoring experience
* Strategic thinking capability
* Stakeholder engagement experience
* Cross-functional collaboration skills
* Strong communication ability
