The Role
ABC is seeking experienced Digital Journalists to join its Breaking News team in Brisbane.
The Job
* Pitch, write and edit high‑quality news stories and explainers for a broad Australian audience
* Cover live and breaking national and international news, including live blogs
* Pitch and produce innovative storytelling methods for digital platforms
* Stay informed on emerging digital news trends
* Curate stories and craft alerts for ABC audiences
About You
You are an experienced Digital Journalist with a strong track record of digital journalism and enthusiasm for the online medium. You have the ability to work as part of a team and meet regular production deadlines.
You'll Also Have
* Relevant qualifications or experience in journalism and online publishing
* Skilled in covering breaking news and live events
* Produce accurate, concise, and engaging digital content
* Knowledge of digital technologies, analytics, and platforms
* Work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment
* Maintain strong networks across the Australian community
