**Policy Adviser**
**Contribute to policies and provide policy advice to members and committees and external stakeholders**
Working within a diverse team environment you will contribute to improving health and wellbeing outcomes and see real time the benefit of the work you do. This is a fantastic opportunity to achieve positive results contributing to policy development and providing policy advice on current issues in the health sector including issues related to health technology assessment policy and regulation, private health, MBS Review and the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme.
Reporting to the Policy Manager you will undertake research and analysis of medical practice issues, support the drafting of key documents including submissions, briefing papers and reports. You will contribute to advocating and representing the Association's policies, represent at workshops, seminars, conferences and other external meetings.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you will have the following experience and skills:
- Previous experience working in policy
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written skills with the ability to produce high quality accurate work
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement including building and maintaining relationships with key people of influence
- Relevant qualifications in either a Health discipline, Politics or Social Services will be well regarded
