The Role
This role supports the StatutoryPlanning team in assessing planning applications and delivering planning outcomes for the community. Working under guidance, the ideal candidate will contribute to application assessments, prepare reports and correspondence, and assists in interpreting planning controls while building practical experience in local government planning processes.
About you
* You are in your final year of an Urban and Regional Planning degree, or have recently graduated, or bring entry-level experience in a related field such as planning, local government, property, development, or environmental assessment
* Demonstrated interest in statutory planning and theVictorian planning system
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports
* Ability to interpret planning controls and apply sound analytical thinking
* High level of organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
* A collaborative and proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and contribute to team outcomes
* A customer-focused mindset with the ability to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders
