The Role
You will be responsible for supporting the design and development of the Womenswear ranges. Your role will be to deliver product that represents exceptional value in the market place while at the same time being fashionable and customer focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Design team to develop a product range which is unique in the market, keeping with the brand handwriting, and delivered to the option plan, price points and margin targets
- Identify emerging trends, relevant to the customer’s needs, in time to influence development
- Conceptualise and sketch the range, build storey-boards, complete spec packages including technical specs and construction details
- Utilise forecasting information provided to contribute to the design brief and build range
- Prepare and present design briefs and ranges to the Executive team with the Design Manager
- Liaise and build relationships with overseas agents and key stakeholders to communicate styling and design concepts
- Adhere to the company timetable and critical path to ensure delivery into stores is on time
- Previous experience in design and development
- A relevant design degree
- Strong communication skills
- Strong ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
