We are searching for an experienced Business Analyst to support the successful delivery of a Timetabling Replacement Project and associated digital initiatives. The BA will play a critical role in bridging business and technical stakeholders to ensure the solution is delivered on time, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with operational requirements. The procurement phase of the project has been completed and has selected a new supplier platform to replace the existing timetabling solution.
Duties of the role:
Leading end-to-end requirements elicitation, analysis, and validation.
Mapping current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) timetabling and scheduling processes.
Translating business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
Supporting vendor engagement and solution evaluation.
Ensuring alignment between business expectations and technical delivery.
Actively managing scope, assumptions, dependencies, and risks related to requirements.
Skills and experience:
Proven experience as a senior or lead Business Analyst on complex enterprise projects.
Strong capability in: Requirements elicitation (workshops, interviews, document analysis), Business process modelling and Use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Experience engaging with external vendors and system integrators, including solution evaluation and alignment to business outcomes.
Strong understanding of dependencies between business processes, technology platforms, and operational readiness.
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence a diverse stakeholder group, including academic staff, operational teams, ICT delivery teams, and senior leadership.
Strong risk awareness with proactive identification and mitigation of requirements, testing, and delivery risks.
Experience defining test strategy and approach aligned to business requirements and delivery milestones.
Development of business-focused test cases, scenarios, and acceptance criteria traceable to approved requirements.
