Human Capital Management Specialist
This role is situated within the Delivery team of Government Shared Services, focusing on the consolidation and harmonisation of shared services operations and systems across the NSW public sector.
About the Team
The newly established team's purpose is to support the delivery of the strategic roadmap, encompassing initiatives aimed at improving business systems, processes, and workflows aligned with overall business unit requirements and Departmental operational plans.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design tools and implement processes to identify, analyse, and facilitate improvements to business systems, processes, and workflows, ensuring alignment with business requirements and operational plans.
2. Manage the development, facilitation, coordination, and communication of initiatives and strategies applying best practice methodologies to ensure organisational consistency and improved business performance.
3. Provide proactive and evidence-based advice and reports to functional leads and Delivery Directors to ensure proposed solutions consider business requirements, identify change impacts, and consider sustainability of recommended solutions.
4. Liaise with internal customers and stakeholders to review and monitor effectiveness of tools, systems, methods, and standards to ensure consistency and quality of outcomes.
5. Support business users and test teams with testing activities including updating test scripts and performing testing to ensure solutions meet requirements.
6. Manage and coordinate planning and processes to ensure all critical business functionality is tested and a quality system is delivered and accepted by key stakeholders.
7. Support data migration teams with data mapping and business teams with data validation and verification.
8. Perform cutover activities as required to ensure smooth transition to operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Provide leadership to other team members.
* Excellent knowledge of SAP Organisation Management functionality.
* Knowledge of SAP Personnel Administration and workflow functionality.
* Knowledge of public sector HCM, delegations, and workflow practices.
* Good understanding of testing and data migration methodologies.
* Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
* Capability to perform data mapping, data reconciliations, and investigate issues.
* Capability to perform structured testing and support end-users in user acceptance testing.
* Understanding of HCM Hire to Retire processes.
