The Opportunity
We're looking for a Structural Engineer to play a key role in delivering structural design and analysis across a range of transmission & distribution projects, supporting major utilities, renewable connections and industrial HV clients. You'll bring strong technical capability, a collaborative mindset, and confidence working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, practical and high-quality outcomes
What you'll do
In this role, you will contribute structural design across the full lifecycle of high voltage substation projects — from planning and design through to construction support and commissioning. Key responsibilities include:
* Work in a high impact, market-facing and structural engineering delivery focused role
* Manage ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients
* Ascertain specifications and evolving client requirements
* Proactively determine, manage, monitor and control scope of works
* Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and Structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets
* Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
About you
* Bachelor degree (Civil/ Structural Engineering)
* Strong expertise in Structural engineering and design documentation, including sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes
* 2+ years' industry experience on Australian structural engineering projects, ideally in a consulting environment
* Proficient in the use of engineering software tools such as Space Gass, Toolkit, ETABS, RAPT, Strand7
* Experience in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging and scale and sector
* Adept in cross-discipline project delivery and an effective collaborator with all key engineering disciplines
* Highly developed customer-focus,teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
