We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to join our team as a Financial Operations Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to the next level and make a real impact in the hospitality industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the hotel's financial operations during the pre-opening phase, soft opening, and ongoing day-to-day business. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing Accounts Receivable using Opera PMS (billing, posting, debt follow-up)
* Supporting Payroll processing and compliance
* Handling Accounts Payable: invoice processing, supplier reconciliations & payments
* Assisting with Purchasing via Purchase Plus
* Preparing month-end journals, reconciliations & reporting
* Maintaining documentation and supporting audit/compliance requirements
Requirements
* 2-3 years' experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within hospitality
* Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Ledger
* Experience using Opera PMS and/or Purchase Plus (ideal but not essential)
* Intermediate-advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
* Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise
* Clear communicator with a proactive, solution-focused approach
* Full, unrestricted Australian working rights
