About Us
Here at Airside Equipment Specialist, we are leading the way in airside ground equipment and servicing. Operating from Tasmania, Australia, we specialise in the fabrication and supply of ground handling equipment and supporting products for our client's as well as airside maintenance and repairs.
We are currently looking for an experienced welder and fabricator for an ongoing full-time role offering 38 hours per week for the successful candidate based at our workshop in Launceston.
Your tasks will include the following:
* Fabrication and welding in the construction of metal structures,
* repairs, rebuilds and modification work in line with scheduled maintenance and service and repair needs on an as needs basis,
* working with a range of materials from sheet metal to aluminum,
* welding duties using both MIG and TIG welders,
* the production of high-quality products to meet client need and demand,
* working as part of a high functioning team to meet business deadlines,
* travel to perform onsite repairs and maintenance as needed.
To be successful in this role you will need:
* a minimum of 3 years of recent demonstrable experience in a similar role,
* a tradesman level skill set and experience in welding and fabrication,
* a very high level of attention to detail,
* a proven track record of high-quality workmanship and safety in welding and fabrication roles,
* to work cooperatively as an effective team member to be able to hit production targets,
* to hold a trade level qualification in Welding and Fabrication.
* experience with aluminum welding is desirable,
* to hold a current driver's license.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated and passionate Welder and Fabricator ready to work in a team fabricating high quality products whilst delivering a high quality and reliable service to our customers.
