Located approximately 180km from Laverton, deep within the Yamarna Greenstone Belt, Gruyere is a large-scale open pit gold mine set in a remote desert landscape, delivering world‐class production and performance. This is your opportunity to lead maintenance on a newly acquired Ausdrill project and make your mark from day one.
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will report directly to the Project Manager and take full ownership of maintenance performance across a critical fleet of drilling and support equipment.
You will lead from the front, driving safety, accountability and operational excellence while building a high‐performing maintenance team in a fast‐paced production environment.
This is an 8:6 roster FIFO ex Perth.
What You'll Be Responsible For
This is not a sit‐back role. You'll be hands‐on, visible and accountable.
You will:
* Lead and coordinate all day‐to‐day maintenance activities, including breakdowns and servicing
* Deliver short‐term and long‐term maintenance planning
* Manage contractor labour, supply agreements and workforce requirements
* Drive performance through clear direction, coaching and feedback
* Ensure compliance with Ausdrill and client maintenance standards
* Manage budgets, forecasting and critical spares including consignment stock
* Conduct risk assessments, field verifications and system checks
* Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
* Maintain high standards across safety, governance and legislative compliance
* Contribute to training, development and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a proven leader who thrives in a high‐performance, operational environment and knows how to get the best out of people, equipment and systems.
You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience supervising maintenance within mining or drilling operations
* Strong hands‐on experience with surface drill rigs including Rock Commander, Epiroc DML and Pantera 1500
* Proven ability to plan and execute both preventative and breakdown maintenance strategies
* The ability to lead from the front, drive accountability and lift team performance
* A strong safety mindset with a visible, in‐field leadership approach
* Experience managing contractors, labour and site requirements
* Strong problem‐solving capability with the confidence to make operational decisions under pressure
* Experience managing budgets, reporting and maintenance systems
