Are you ready for a hands-on role in a great team environment? As a Boiler Assistant in Training, you will enjoy hands on training, with a variety of tasks and exposure to some of the challenges that come with producing Raw Sugar.
In this role you'll be at the core of our operations, assisting the Boiler Operator with overseeing critical equipment, ensuring optimal steam generation and maintaining plant efficiency. This hands-on role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and relevant performance standards.
This seasonal position will be based at Pioneer Mill in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work.
Your Role in Action
Collaboration: Work closely with the Boiler Station and shift teams to keep operations running smoothly and safely.Operations: Take charge of turbine and auxiliary equipment start-ups and shut-downs—keeping the plant's energy flow in check.Bagasse Management: Manage the vital Bagasse system with precision ensuring smooth, efficient operations at all times.Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot and handle boiler and auxiliary systems, reporting abnormalities.Safety: Actively contribute to work, health and safety standards, from risk assessments to job safety analyses and participation in site safety programs.
Your Winning Combination
We're looking for someone with a \"can do\" attitude, sharp attention to detail and is dedicated to high-quality standards. Our ideal candidate will hold a High-Risk Work License for Turbine Operator (TO) and an Advanced Boiler Operator (BA) certification or is willing and able to achieve the competencies.
