Fire & Embers Pty ltd t/a Margaret (Double Bay, NSW) owned and operated by Neil Perry, is seeking an experienced Trade Waiter to join the Front of House team. We are looking for an experienced Trade Waiter who will be committed to the role and enjoy the challenge of being involved in the successful service of the restaurant. This is a full-time position, that will see you work closely with all levels of staff in the venue.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Prepare and set tables to ensure an organised, professional and comfortable dining environment
- Greet guests warmly, present menus and beverage lists
- Provide menu recommendations, explain daily specials, take food and drink orders and enter them correctly into the POS system, to ensure they are communicated correctly to the kitchen and bar teams
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner and to the venues high service standards, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Work alongside the Sommelier team to recommend wine pairing with meals and help assist guests in making informed menu choices
- Clear tables, return dishes and cutlery to the kitchen and maintain overall cleanliness of the dining areas
- Refill drinks as required and/or carefully remove empty glassware and bottles, returning them to the bar area
- Provide bills, assist in processing payments using POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately
- Continue to offer high class and friendly customer service to all guests, until they complete their dining experience and leave the venue
To be successful in this full time position you will have:
- A minimum of at least 18 months experience as a Trade Waiter in the Hospitality industry.
- Proven experience in high restaurant service standards and ability to use restaurant ordering and POS software and programs,
- You must have a demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and work well under pressure
- You will have the ability to interact and work with all levels of staff; from junior employees, through to Executive Management.

Salary offered: from $ 76,515pa + Super (depending on experience)
