Our Federal Government client, is seeking motivated and compassionate Provisional Psychologists to join their team delivering high-quality, evidence based mental health services.

About the Role:

As a Provisional Psychologist, you will provide supervised counselling services to individuals, couples and families with diverse and complex mental health needs. You will apply your academic knowledge and developing clinical skills to build strong therapeutic relationships, understand clients' lived experiences and support them to achieve improved mental health and wellbeing.

Working under the supervision of the Assistant Director and experienced clinicians, you will participate in regular case reviews, operational supervision and professional development activities to support your progression toward full registration.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver quality clinical services including needs assessments, evidence based individual counselling, risk assessment, intervention and safety planning.
* Review client progress and determine appropriate next steps, including extensions to episodes of care.
* Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records using the Client Management System, including progress notes, care plans and risk documentation.
* Engage in Continuing Professional Development, including clinical supervision, to meet AHPRA requirements and progress toward general registration within expected timeframes.
* Liaise with clients' families, external treatment providers and other stakeholders to coordinate care.
* Participate in additional clinical and service delivery activities as directed, including:
* Co-facilitating group treatment and psychoeducation programs
* Community engagement and service promotion
* Program evaluation, research and quality improvement initiatives
* Regional intake assessments and allocation processes

About You

You are an early career psychologist who demonstrates professionalism, empathy and a strong commitment to ethical practice. You bring excellent communication and organisational skills and are eager to learn, reflect and grow within a supportive clinical environment.

Key skills and capabilities include:

* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Strong time management and organisational abilities
* Competence in intake assessments, mental status examinations, risk assessments and safety planning
* Ability to collaboratively set therapeutic goals, develop case formulations and apply evidence-based interventions
* Commitment to reflective practice and openness to supervision and feedback
* Proactive approach to identifying learning needs and tracking progress toward registration competencies

Mandatory Requirements

* Qualifications as a Provisional Psychologist
* Evidence of expected timeline toward general registration with AHPRA
* Working with Vulnerable People registration or Working with Children Check
