24th April, 2026 The Role This is a true generalist HR leadership position, responsible for overseeing the full employee lifecycle while partnering with stakeholders across multiple regions. You will operate in a fast-paced, growing business where agility, initiative, and strong stakeholder engagement are essential. On a day-to-day basis, you will: Partner with senior leaders and managers to provide HR advice and support Lead and mentor a small HR team, including HR and Payroll functions Oversee the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and offboarding Support and guide employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution Drive performance management, succession planning, and retention strategies Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and internal policies Oversee payroll processes (with support from a Payroll Officer) and act as a key liaison with shared/global services Contribute to HR reporting, metrics, and decision-making for leadership Collaborate with regional and global HR teams, including Centres of Excellence This role operates within a growing regional structure, requiring collaboration across Australia, PNG, and broader APAC teams. About You To be successful in this role, you will be a strong HR generalist who thrives in operational environments and enjoys being hands-on. You will bring: Proven experience in a senior HR generalist or HR Manager role Strong end-to-end HR lifecycle experience across operational environments Background in industries such as manufacturing, industrial, or similar (highly regarded) Solid knowledge of Australian employment legislation (Fair Work Act, Awards, etc.) Experience working in complex or matrix organisations Ability to influence, coach and partner with stakeholders at all levels Exposure to payroll processes and oversight Strong problem-solving and solution-driven mindset You will also demonstrate: Agility and adaptability in a growing, changing environment Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to operate across multiple regions and time zones A proactive approach with the confidence to suggest and implement improvements To Apply: Please send your resume by applying through our website at www.abacushumancapital.com.au/jobs.
