Roles & Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and upskill a large production team across 24/7 operations.
* Oversee daily plant performance across boilers, turbines, coal handling, and auxiliary systems.
* Drive safety excellence through permit-to-work, operational risk, and emergency response processes.
* Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and trading functions to optimise generation and efficiency.
* Identify and implement operational improvements to support flexible and reliable power generation.
* Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and ongoing capability development.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven leadership experience within coal-fired or large thermal power generation operations.
* Strong understanding of plant systems, on-shift maintenance, and control room operations.
* Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, manage IR challenges, and build technical capability.
* Tertiary or trade qualifications in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
