**The Role**
This role requires an understanding of fundamental movement skills (FMS), child-friendly exercise techniques, the ability to create engaging and age-appropriate sessions, and a passion for promoting both physical fitness and emotional resilience in young participants.
This role involves:
- Delivering PE lessons aligned with the National Curriculum in primary and secondary schools.
- Coaching and instructing children in the 40 nationally approved Sporting Schools sports (link: Sporting Schools).
- Supporting the Operations Manager in delivering After-School Sports Clubs, holiday camps, events, and birthday party activities.
- Recruiting, mentoring, and managing coaching staff to maintain high-quality sports education.
- Coordinating and delivering our Kids Understanding Basic Skills (KUBS) program in a variety of educational settings..
**Key Responsibilities**
**Community Engagement & Youth Development**
- Promote inclusive sports participation for all age groups, from early childhood to adults.
- Develop and grow sports and wellbeing programs, increasing community engagement.
- Build partnerships with schools, local authorities, and community organisations to create new sporting opportunities.
- Monitor and track youth participation and performance in sports programs.
**Program Development**
- Design and deliver structured and engaging sports programs.
- Integrate wellbeing and holistic movement activities, such as yoga and mindfulness, into sessions.
- Facilitate movement-based drama sessions that support self-expression and confidence-building.
- Encourage intergenerational fitness programs, catering to both young people and older adults.
**Professional Development for Staff**
- Design, integrate, and facilitate our KUBS program in educational settings.
- Develop and deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops for teachers and sports coaches.
- Support schools in enhancing their PE programs for long-term impact.
- Collaborate with educators to create innovative teaching methodologies that integrate sport, movement, and well-being.
**What We’re Looking For**
We are looking for a dedicated professional with:
- At least four years of experience in Early Childhood Sports Coaching, training, and PE instruction.
- A strong understanding of the Health and Physical Education Curriculum and extracurricular sports programs.
- Leadership experience in mentoring, recruiting, and training coaching staff.
- A passion for early years development, community engagement, and well-being-focused activities.
- Experience in designing and delivering CPD workshops for teachers and coaches.
- A track record of growing community-based sports initiatives.
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Relevant coaching and education qualifications, with experience working with national sporting bodies.
- Flexibility to work during school hours, after-school programs, and holiday camps across a seven-day period.
- Access to a reliable vehicle and a full driver’s licence.
**Salary & Employment Details**
- **Salary**: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
