Role Overview
* Assist in analysing security events and incidents.
* Support the implementation and maintenance of cyber‐security controls.
* Participate in vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and remediation activities.
* Contribute to security documentation, policies, and procedures.
* Collaborate with IT, risk, and business stakeholders.
* Learn and apply relevant Australian and international cybersecurity frameworks.
Qualifications
* Recent or imminent completion of a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
* Understanding of key cybersecurity standards and ability to apply them effectively.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business teams.
* Knowledge or experience in programming, risk analysis, and security best practices.
* Detail‐oriented, curious, and actively engaged with emerging threats.
Security Clearance Requirements
A Defence security clearance is required for this role. Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain baseline clearance. Applicants with a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible for recognition by the Australian Government. The Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) applies and nationality may be a factor in determining suitability.
