About the job
As Enterprise Architect - Integration & Application Platforms, you will set the strategic direction and target-state roadmaps that enable enterprise-wide process integration and advance key platform capabilities.
As part of a supportive and growing Enterprise Architecture team, you will develop architecture guidance, patterns and principles while also contributing to key programs, procurement decisions, and architecture governance forums. You will guide and govern solution architects ensuring alignment with architecture guidance developed by you and the EA team. This role offers the scope to influence long-term technology strategy and drive alignment across many exciting and innovative programs that underpin SA Water's digital transformation.
About the Person
The ideal candidate is an established or aspiring enterprise architect, or a seasoned solution architect with a strategic mindset who is ready to take a broader role than as an individual contributor. They understand the importance of establishing guiding frameworks and reference architectures to keep dozens of architects and projects on track to maximise strategic outcomes.
They are an effective communicator - both verbally and in putting ideas to paper as diagrams or written guidance. They have experience with application and/or business process integration as well as an understanding and some experience with of integration approaches. Ideally, they would have experience working in a large client-side organisation, are confident developing future-state models, logical diagrams, principles and roadmaps as well as conducting architecture reviews and influencing stakeholders through well-structured documentation, compelling visuals, and clear communication. With a collaborative, coaching style, they collaborate with other Enterprise and Domain Architects and support solution architects and teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes while staying attuned to emerging trends and technologies that can drive innovation and value. Exposure to MuleSoft, Oracle ERP/Integration and Microsoft Azure would be seen as a bonus.

You will:
* Shape and maintain the strategic architecture guidance (reference architectures, patterns) and principles for integration and key platforms.
* Develop future-state roadmaps.
* Provide governance and guidance to solution architects, ensuring consistency across designs.
* Review documents, lead discussions, and create clear diagrams and models to support decision-making.
* Partner with technical and business stakeholders to translate strategy into practical outcomes.
* Monitor trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
* Contribute to program delivery architecture activities, procurement activities, and architectural governance forums.
* Contribute to the governance and effective use of key platforms including MuleSoft, BizTalk, Oracle Integration & ERP.
Your success in this role will come from:
* 3+ years experience as a solution architect (including maintaining diagrams, documents and/or models) including leading options analysis.
* A technical background (e.g. developer) that you have moved on from in order to guide and lead others through coaching and guiding as well as documenting patterns, practices and standards.
* Experience in developing and presenting strategic domain/technology guidance to a variety of (business and technical) stakeholders.
* Experience with the Integration domain - either traditional application to application integration on-premise technologies (e.g. SSIS, Biztalk), Integration-Platform-as-a-Service (iPaas e.g. MuleSoft, JitterBit, Boomi, etc.), or microservice/low-code approaches (e.g. Microsoft Azure services incl Logic Apps).
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, business or computer science and/or equivalent knowledge and excellent written communication skills.
