Job Opportunity: Industry Supervisor
The role of the Industry Supervisor is a critical position within our organization. As an Industry Supervisor, you will lead and manage industry staff to achieve program and service outcomes in a multidisciplinary team and rehabilitative environment.
This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team. You will be responsible for supervising the operational aspects of Loddon/Middleton Industries, achieving commercial production while maintaining professional relationships with suppliers.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Supervise staff to ensure the safety and security of individuals, staff, and visitors, including appropriate levels of surveillance and interaction within the facility.
* Train, supervise, and support staff in all aspects of prison industry operations, including training and assessment, case management, and maintenance of professional boundaries.
* Monitor compliance with security and occupational health and safety procedures (OHS).
Key Requirements:
* Demonstrated computer skills, familiarity with departmental software, Oracle, PIMS, JETS, Centurion, Microsoft Office Suite.
* Relevant industry experience, together with appropriate qualifications or trade experience, preferably in manufacturing, metalwork, food processing, printing, powder coating, assembly, warehouse, or logistics operations.
* Good knowledge of OHS requirements, relevant to manufacturing and service industries.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or experience in providing training within a commercial production environment.
* Qualifications or experience in a trade area related to process manufacturing industry, e.g., sheet metal fabrication, boiler making, fitting and turning, powder coating, building, plumbing, electrical work, or printing.
