Competitive salary and benefits
Salary between $ $ per fortnight (HWF3).
4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with % loading.

About your opportunity
In this leadership role, you will provide culturally capable care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women through antenatal, birthing, and postnatal support. You will coordinate the Health Worker team, mentor colleagues, strengthen cultural safety across maternity services, and build strong partnerships with families and community to improve health outcomes.
Requirements
Successful completion of, or currently completing a Diploma in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care is mandatory.
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
Highly regarded: Sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, protocols and history, as well as demonstrated experience in engaging North Queensland Aboriginal and Islander communities.
Highly regarded: Ability to work effectively within a maternity care team across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal services.
