Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine, preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance across the hotel (interior and exterior)
* Provide timely, effective maintenance support to all hotel departments
* Perform hands on tasks including minor plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, air conditioning maintenance and general repairs
* Proactively identify maintenance issues and assist with preventative maintenance planning
* Log and manage all maintenance requests through MyBuildings, ensuring tasks are completed and tracked correctly
* Coordinate and supervise external contractors when required, ensuring safe and high quality work
* Support building compliance, WHS standards and safe operation of plant and equipment
* Report to General Manager and ensure smooth day to day operations
What You'll Bring
* Practical experience in general maintenance, building services or a trade related role (hotel or commercial environment preferred)
* Broad, hands on skill set across general repairs and preventative maintenance
* Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a role aligned to the advertised $65k–$70k salary range
* Ability to manage priorities, respond to urgent issues and work calmly under pressure
* Clear communication skills and a team first attitude
