Statewide Hospital Pharmacy operates pharmacy services at Launceston General Hospital (LGH), Tasmania's second-largest hospital and major referral centre for Northern Tasmania.
It provides inpatient and ambulatory services and has 349 inpatient beds onsite.

The Role
Work as part of LGH's Pharmacy Department and Pharmacy Team to provide a comprehensive, efficient, and accountable pharmacy service for hospital inpatients and outpatients.
Responsibilities
Dispense medications for inpatient, outpatient and discharge supply in accordance with legal requirements and applicable medication access schemes (e.g., Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, Special Access Scheme).
Provide verbal and written medicines information and supporting health advice to patients.
Offer medication information to hospital staff and support their knowledge development.
Rotate through health service areas, including dispensary, emergency, surgical and medical inpatients, rehabilitation, sub-acute care, oncology and remote care.
Access ongoing professional development and the opportunity to complete the AdPha Residency Program.
Details of Appointment
Permanent full-time and part-time shift positions, up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$73,834 to $111,364 per annum (pro-rata).
An employer superannuation contribution of 12% is included.
The salary range is in accordance with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement ****.
Salary Packaging
Salary package includes benefits such as living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment of $2,650 per FBT year, plus other eligible benefits.
Allowances
Market allowance of $10,000 per annum pro-rata may be available.
