As the HSEQ Officer, you will play a critical role in driving compliance, fostering a proactive safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
About the Role

You'll work closely with the State Manager and operational teams to ensure systems are robust, risks are managed, and the workforce is empowered to work safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Champion Safety & Compliance:Implement and monitor WHS systems, risk assessments, and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
Maintain Standards:Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental regulations, and client requirements.
Enhance Systems:Support the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring documentation and processes meet ISO standards.
Develop Capability:Coordinate training, licences, and competency development across the workforce.
Drive Quality & Environmental Outcomes:Conduct audits, inspections, and monitoring to uphold project and legislative standards.
Lead Incident Management:Facilitate reporting, investigations, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who combines technical expertise with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
You'll need to be confident working independently while collaborating with a close-knit team.
To Succeed in This Role, You'll Bring
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum), Diploma desirable.
2–3 years of experience in HSEQ or compliance within construction, civil works, or similar industries.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and ISO standards for safety, quality, and environment.
Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and adapt to changing priorities.
