The role will be the key Finance Business Partner across Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Last Mile. Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service is responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to households/businesses across Australia. Our finance team closely partners to support this rapidly expanding business while building a portfolio of delivery stations, vehicles, and technology to deliver customers' packages on time - often next day, sometimes faster.
We augment our traditional "deliver by van" with other models including Amazon Flex (gig economy drivers) and more - all designed to deliver smiles to our customers.
Key job responsibilities
1. Partner with Last Mile business streams, Operations, Supply Chain and Customer Excellence teams to implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
2. Develop and publish regular financial reports highlighting key performance indicators and regular business metrics
3. Perform weekly/monthly controllership activities alongside variance analysis versus plan and forecast
4. Conduct ad hoc strategic analysis to drive program expansion, balancing delivery speed initiatives with cost efficiency
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
* 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
* 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
* 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
* Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
* 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
* MBA or CPA qualification
* Knowledge of Tableau
* Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
