Boss Energy operates the Honeymoon Mine in South Australia, where production recommenced in 2024 following significant reinvestment, and has a 30% ownership stake in Encore's Alta Mesa project in South Texas. Boss Energy is focused on unlocking shareholder value through optimising current production, extending mine life, advancing nearby satellite deposits, and disciplined capital and inventory management as it scales its global uranium portfolio.
About the role
Based in the Adelaide corporate office and reporting to the Managing Director & CEO, you will provide trusted legal and governance leadership, serving as both General Counsel and Company Secretary, advising the CEO and Board and shaping risk management, regulatory engagement and approvals, while balancing commercial imperatives with disciplined governance and quality technical legal advice.
As a member of the senior leadership team, your influence will extend across project development, regulatory pathways, land access, heritage matters, government engagement and Board effectiveness, making this a high‐impact commercial role at the intersection of law, strategy and leadership.
The Scope of the Role
As a key member of the executive team, you will lead the Company's legal, governance and regulatory agenda, providing strategic oversight of permitting, licensing and approvals across multiple jurisdictions.
As a trusted adviser to the CEO and Board, you will provide commercially astute legal and risk counsel on major transactions, enterprise governance and strategic initiatives, enabling disciplined growth and long‐term value creation.
You will serve as Company Secretary, ensuring robust Board governance, ASX and statutory compliance, high‐quality disclosures and effective shareholder engagement.
The role also encompasses senior leadership of government, regulator and stakeholder engagement, including legal strategy for land access, cultural heritage matters and Traditional Owner engagement.
About You
You will be a high calibre and seasoned lawyer with the credibility, judgement and presence to operate effectively at Board and C‐suite level. You'll be well trained and have strong technical skills, with 10‐15+ years of experience in senior legal roles, ideally within mining, energy or similar environments.
Your expertise will include commercial advice, mining, energy or similar experience; and areas such as regulatory, E&P, cultural heritage and corporate governance. You will have a track record in advising Boards, statutory and ASX compliance, and be able to influence senior stakeholders with your pragmatic, commercially focused approach.
