System Administrator (2033470/001) Perth, Australia
Salary: AUD95000 - AUD105000 per annum
Our client is seeking a highly technical Systems Administrator to join their team in Perth. This 6 month initial FTC role offers an attractive base salary, plus the potential to turn into a Permanent position. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth IT operations by providing comprehensive end user hardware/software and application services support. This role is based on-site with occasional visits across the Perth Metro and Regional Areas.
What you'll do:
* Provide first-line support for all IT-related issues and problems.
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key applications, ensuring optimal functionality.
* Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve application-related issues.
* Maintain accurate records of IT hardware and software assets.
* Assist in IT project planning, including requirements gathering, scheduling, and risk management.
* Perform configuration management and ensure security compliance.
What you bring:
* Knowledge of LAN topology, routers, hubs, switches, firewalls, and protocols like WAN/MPLS, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, SMTP, and SNMP.
* Basic understanding of Microsoft Server platforms (Windows Server, Terminal Services, Citrix, Active Directory, Exchange/Outlook).
* Familiarity with cloud and on-premise services, including SharePoint and IIS.
* Competence in Microsoft Office products and Apple iPhone support.
* University degree or industry-recognized qualification in Information Technology or equivalent skills and experience.
* Experience in project management or familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
