As a highly motivated Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the success of our large-scale Battery Storage Energy projects located in the Latrobe Valley.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing procurement and implementation of major electrical equipment and subcontract packages. A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering is required, as is demonstrable experience in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction. Strong communication skills are essential for building effective stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Project Manager and Engineering Team to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety, and quality.
* Lead the work pack development for the project.
* Review project documentation and raise technical queries related to the project.
* Provide engineering/technical support and advice to on-site Supervision and project staff involved in the execution of works.
* Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
* Work in accordance with quality assurance procedures, based on customer and ISO requirements.
* Assembling and maintaining project documentation and quality records for the project ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Australian recognised, tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
* Demonstrable experience in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction (strongly preferred).
* Demonstrable experience in managing procurement and implementation of major electrical equipment and subcontract packages (highly regarded).
* Experience in installation, testing and commissioning of high voltage electrical work would be an advantage.
* Site based industry experience as a Project Engineer within the substation, renewable energy or construction industry.
* Excellent written and technical skills and a confident user of MS Office Suite.
