We are exclusively partnering with a Tier-1 Mining Asset Owner to source an experienced Project Engineer to join their on-site projects team.
You will provide front end engineering support, developing detailed scopes and preparation of work packages on electrical and mechanical projects across this complex mining environment.
This is an owner's side position BIBO from Darwin to a remote but stunning mining location in the Northern Territory on a 2/1 roster.
Responsibilities
* Develop clear, detailed, and outcome-based scopes of work suitable for tendering and contractor delivery
* Prepare structured, execution-ready work packs aligned with operational site requirements
* Translate engineering intent into clearly defined contractor deliverables, including inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, and constraints
* Define QA/QC requirements, inspection points, hold points, and acceptance criteria upfront
* Conduct site walk-downs to validate assumptions, confirm physical constraints, and support scope development
* Review drawings, specifications, asset records, and inspection reports to identify gaps and clarify requirements
* Engage with engineering, operations, maintenance, and HSE personnel to confirm scope intent and requirements
* Provide technical support during the definition phase, incorporating stakeholder feedback prior to issuing work packs for tender
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
* Proven site experience in a brownfield setting within Mining, Oil & Gas, or Heavy Industrial sector
* Demonstrated experience managing projects through design stages of projects through scope development and work package preparation
* Manage capital projects concurrently with an understanding of all project deliverables
* Strong technical writing, documentation, and scope management skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
