The Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors is a private Registered Training Organisation and private provider of Higher Education specialising in the delivery of external education programs in counselling, community services, financial counselling, youth work, relationship counselling and various business courses.

**About the role**:
**Key responsibilities include**:
Teaching and Assessment
- Writing assessments and developing marking rubrics.
- Marking student assessments in accord with assessment and moderation policies.

Subject Development, Evaluation and Review
- Incorporate improvements into study materials including study guides, teaching materials, assessments and online materials as required.

Other Duties
- Assist with preparation of paperwork for academic governance committee meetings as needed.
- Identify and participating in appropriate professional development and scholarship.
- Maintain membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant industry association.

**You will be passionate about inspiring students as they prepare for a rewarding career in counselling.**
- Demonstrated teaching ability in relevant fields at a tertiary level.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise, negotiate and collaborate with both internal and external parties.
- Demonstrated continuing professional development in relevant field. 'Professional Development' includes further studies, development of teaching and learning capabilities, membership of industry associations, attendance at industry workshops and functions and/or attending supervision.
- Eligible for membership of a relevant industry association.
