About us
GV Health is the main Health Care provider in the Hume Region and serves a diverse, multicultural community. Our main sites are at Shepparton, Tatura and Rushworth, with additional services at Seymour, Benalla and Wodonga. The Shepparton Campus has 280 beds - providing acute medical, surgical, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatric, rehabilitation, critical care, emergency care, mental health and geriatric care. We are currently undergoing a $229 million redevelopment; this includes an expanded emergency department, increased theatre space and a new critical care unit.
The Anaesthetic Department is accredited for 52 weeks of training by ANZCA, across introductory, basic and advanced. We are part of both the Eastern Victoria and Regional Victoria rotational training schemes.
Shepparton is located in central Victoria and is just two hours drive north of Melbourne with proximity to alpine snowfields, rivers and lakes, wineries and the arts.
