We are currently seeking experienced Maintenance Supervisors to lead technician crews across site-based operations. This role is responsible for ensuring quality delivery and service excellence across maintenance contracts through effective supervision, planning, and monitoring of operational requirements.
You will play a key role in delivering works safely, on time, and to client expectations, while supporting business objectives and maintaining high quality and safety standards.
This position suits a hands-on supervisor with strong conveyor plant and maintenance experience, who understands plant condition, performance, and proactive maintenance — not just task execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and lead crews of technicians across mechanical and conveyor maintenance activities
* Direct and control maintenance works to ensure quality, safety, cost, and performance standards are met
* Conduct and oversee inspections, identifying issues impacting conveyor health and reliability
* Ensure effective conveyor hygiene practices, including management of material build-up, skirt wear, scrapers, rollers, and pulley lagging
* Coordinate and support maintenance repairs such as skirt and scraper adjustments, roller changeouts, and related works
* Work collaboratively with belt splicing teams, providing guidance and mechanical support where required
* Maintain strong client relationships through a professional, customer-focused approach
* Ensure all work is completed safely, in accordance with site procedures and legislation
* Drive continuous improvement across processes, procedures, and service delivery
About You
You will bring:
* A proven track record in site supervision within maintenance or conveyor-related environments
* Strong experience delivering maintenance service-based contracts
* Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate technician crews
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* High attention to detail with strong analytical and planning capability
* Confident written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and people management skills
* A proactive mindset with the ability to organise, prioritise, and take initiative
Note: This role is best suited to candidates with hands-on conveyor plant operating experience, rather than purely shutdown-based exposure. A strong understanding of what to look for in plant condition and performance is essential.
Requirements
* Valid WA Driver's Licence
* White Card
* Working at Heights
* Confined Spaces
* Gas Test Atmospheres
* S26 or equivalent
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
What's on Offer
* Opportunity to step into a leadership role within a well-supported team
* Long term secure contract at Roy Hill
* This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with casual loading applied during the temporary contract period
* Hourly rates and conditions will be reviewed upon transition to full-time employment, with leave entitlements included
