Overview
Our client is a facilities service provider that offers a holistic approach to maintenance, project management and building services across commercial, retail, aged care/retirement, education and healthcare sectors. They operate nationally with strong teams across all states. We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead their project delivery teams. If you’re passionate about driving operational excellence, building high‑performing teams, and leading business improvement, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
* Oversee project planning, delivery, tendering, and estimating across the business.
* Set and track KPIs to ensure teams deliver efficiently and in line with company strategy.
* Review and approve major tenders, estimates, and project plans.
* Maintain strong contract administration and ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and company policies.
* Lead business improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce risk.
* Provide guidance to project and estimating teams, supporting them on complex or high‑risk matters.
* Ensure accurate reporting, forecasting and invoicing for all projects.
* Drive effective use of internal systems to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy.
* Monitor resource allocation and future pipeline to ensure delivery capacity.
* Build a positive, values‑driven culture across all teams.
* Work closely with Directors and the CEO on budgets, forecasts and operational targets.
* Support business development and oversee strategic client communication.

Criteria
* Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or similar.
* Significant operational or management experience in construction, facilities or maintenance.
* Strong skills in estimating, tendering, commercial management and contract administration.
* Confident communicator.
* Advanced IT skills, including MS Office and project management systems (Procore experience a bonus).
* A collaborative leader with strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
