Job Overview
This is a full-time ongoing position as a Deputy Zone Commander, responsible for providing operational support and emergency response. The role will work with a zone management team to manage and lead volunteers across units and clusters to ensure readiness for operational activity and emergencies.
About the Role
* Develop and maintain key relationships internally and externally with other emergency service agencies, councils, and local communities.
* Collaborate with functional areas of the SES including Capability & Training and Volunteer Engagement teams to recruit, train, and prepare volunteers for emergency response.
* Participate in operational activities, including on-call rosters during operational activity, and travel to visit units across zones of responsibility and deploy to other zones during operational activity.
