Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Neuro & Plastics Surgery (Job Share)
Location: Fitzroy, Melbourne. Employment type: Permanent Part‐Time (10 hours per week), with potential to convert to full‐time. Classification: YW11‐YW12 ($106,834.00–$110,432.10 per annum pro rata). Salary packaging available.
Responsibilities
* Apply ACORN and infection control standards and evidence‐based practice to ensure standardised care across nursing staff in Neuro and Plastics theatres.
* Lead, direct and model high standard patient care in alignment with the Sisters of Charity values and Health Care Philosophy.
* Encourage and facilitate staff professional development.
* Actively participate in ACORN and NSQHS audits, implementing changes to enhance nursing practice.
* Accurately document incidents and investigate them promptly; keep the Nurse Unit Manager informed.
* Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other health professionals to achieve agreed activity targets.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Nursing.
* Post‐graduate certificate in peri‐operative nursing.
* Minimum five years of experience in a peri‐operative setting.
* Strong understanding of ACORN standards and evidence‐based practice.
* Will obtain National Criminal History Check.
* Full AHPRA registration.
