Job Title: Allied Health Assistant
About the Role:
This role supports physiotherapists across the organisation, assisting with tasks such as assessment and treatment, providing exercise and mobility programs, delivering equipment, and coordinating services upon discharge.
Responsibilities:
* Assist physiotherapists in daily activities to ensure a seamless service delivery.
* Deliver exercise and mobility programs to patients under the supervision of a qualified physiotherapist.
* Provide assistance with administrative duties and maintain accurate records as required.
* Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and supportive environment for clients and staff.
* Perform other related tasks as assigned by management or designated team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful applicant will possess:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III or higher qualification in an allied health area, or relevant registered nursing or personal care qualifications.
* Diploma or associate diploma in a health science area or relevant fields.
* Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse Division 2 (for allied health roles) or completion of certificate courses in relevant health areas.
* Overseas allied health qualifications – minimum qualification is a completed diploma in a recognised discipline.
* Allied health undergraduate student having completed a minimum of one year of study in a relevant discipline.
* High level of English literacy.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Solid knowledge base of medical terminology.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
The following qualifications or skills may be beneficial but are not essential:
* Familiarity with electronic health records systems.
* Basic first aid and CPR training.
