Overview


We are seeking a Regional Leader Parks and Visitor Services to join our team. This position is based in Karratha, one of the largest and fastest growing towns in the north of Western Australia.


The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the planned development and delivery of parks and visitor services in the Pilbara Region, including Aboriginal liaison and cultural heritage.



Key Responsibilities


* Lead and coordinate the planned development and delivery of parks and visitor services in the Pilbara Region
* Develop and implement operational plans, management plans, and strategies related to visitor services and natural environment
* Manage financial resources and other management systems, including project management, risk management, and information technology
* Negotiate, communicate, and liaise with community groups, media, and special interest groups, including Aboriginal people
* Engage, communicate, and work successfully with Traditional Owners and joint management partners to deliver visitor experience programs



Requirements


* A current National Police Check
* A current Western Australian 'C' class drivers licence
* Extensive experience in visitor services, operational planning, and management
* Substantial experience in financial management, project management, and risk management
* Effective leadership and negotiation skills
* Knowledge and experience working with Traditional Owners and joint management partners
