About the role

We’re looking for an exceptional Financial & Tax Manager ANZ to join our high-performing finance team and take ownership of financial compliance, tax strategy, audit, and internal controls across Australia and New Zealand.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll influence senior stakeholders, strengthen financial governance, and drive strategic decision-making that supports long-term business growth. You’ll play a central role in optimising tax outcomes, ensuring compliance, and guiding the business through a continuously evolving regulatory environment.

Whether you're based in Adelaide or Melbourne, you’ll have the flexibility, autonomy, and visibility to shape financial strategy across two countries while staying closely connected to operational execution.

Duties include

- Build proactive, positive relationships with leaders, employees, and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to align plans with the needs of multiple sites.
- Foster a collaborative, constructive, and high‑performance team culture.
- Hold team members accountable to results and agreed performance metrics, making tough decisions when necessary.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audit requirements.
- Act as the key point of contact for internal and external audit teams.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Identify and assess financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimise tax liabilities while maintaining compliance.
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements.
- Ensure timely and compliant statutory reporting, including BAS, FBT, GST, WHT, and other ANZ submissions.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, USGAAP, company policies, and SOX requirements.
- Support the legal team with company secretarial and governance obligations.
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements are met.
- Coordinate insurance renewals with corporate and local finance teams.
- Support administration, budgeting, and cost allocation of insurance premiums.
- Engage regularly with managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment of priorities.
- Travel across Australia and New Zealand may be required.

- Perform additional duties as reasonably required.

About You

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior financial management, accounting or reporting roles.
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- CPA or CA qualification (required).
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing people and leading a finance team.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment.
- Proven ability to assess risk and balance commercial outcomes.
- Some travel across Australia and New Zealand may be required.
