Role Overview
A well-established Sydney professional services firm is seeking an experienced HR & Office Manager to lead its people operations and internal administration function. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, this role sits at the centre of the business and plays a critical part in maintaining performance, structure and culture.
This is a senior operational leadership position suited to an experienced Practice Manager, Office Manager or HR professional who understands the pace, expectations and commercial realities of accounting, legal or consulting environments. The focus is on stability, capability and long-term operational strength.
Key Responsibilities:
People & HR Leadership
Lead end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning processes
Oversee onboarding, induction and employee integration
Manage and improve performance review frameworks
Provide practical employee relations guidance and HR advisory support
Maintain HR policies, compliance documentation and governance standards
Partner directly with senior leadership on people-related matters
Office & Administration Management
Lead and mentor a team of 5 (4 Executive Assistants and 1 junior team member)
Oversee day-to-day office operations and workflow coordination
Maintain high administrative and professional standards across the firm
Drive process improvement across support functions
Act as the central coordination point between Partners and the support team
About You
Experienced within a professional services environment (legal, accounting, consulting or similar)
Proven capability managing administrative or practice support teams
Strong working knowledge of HR processes including recruitment and performance management
Commercially aware, structured and highly organised
Confident working directly with senior stakeholders
Calm, steady and discreet in approach
This role will suit someone who values accountability, professionalism and operational clarity. You are comfortable leading people while ensuring detail is executed properly and consistently.
