Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to join our team as the Director of Allied Health Services – Fraser Coast. This pivotal role provides strategic and operational leadership to a broad range of Allied Health disciplines, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care across the Fraser Coast region. As the Director, you will drive service excellence, workforce capability, and collaborative models of care. You will work closely with clinical, operational and executive leaders to deliver innovative, safe, and sustainable Allied Health services that meet the needs of our communities now and into the future.

Your Opportunity:

* Accountable for the delivery of high-level strategic leadership and managerial knowledge, skills and experience to drive service improvement and high value care inclusive of Allied Health, Medical Imaging and Pharmacy services at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals
* Lead change management practices and provide strong influential leadership to drive innovation, research and new models of care reflecting contemporary practice in Allied Health.
* This role will be expected to participate in the Executive on call roster.

What we're looking for:

Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to provide high level strategic leadership for Allied Health services across a range of hospital and community-based services. Demonstrated ability to lead the development of professional standards, education and research initiatives at a local, HHS and Statewide level.

Clinical Expertise:
Demonstrated experience in health service planning and workforce management, improvement in complex care settings and the implementation of sustainable evidence-based models of care. Demonstrated ability to apply high level clinical knowledge, expertise, and skill across complex service types.

Communication:
Demonstrated expert ability to convey strategic initiatives with a broad range of stakeholders, provide authoritative professional advice to gain, support and negotiate outcomes that align with organisational goals and support transformation and performance accountability. Provide high level advice after detailed analysis and interpretation and evaluation of data to effectively influence change. Builds and maintains productive working relationships to influence change.

Management:

• Demonstrated ability and experience in operational management of complex multidisciplinary services across multiple sites, including effective financial management, workforce planning and development, budget preparation, project management and performance feedback and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

* The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in a Health Practitioner Discipline and be registered with the Allied Health Professional Registrations Agency (AHPRA) or membership with the relevant allied health registration board and/or professional body.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
* Post graduate health management qualifications are desirable.
* This role will be required to participate in the executive on-call roster.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $190,788 p.a., comprising salary between $161,540 - $167,217 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP6) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hrs p.f.)
