The Opportunity
Reporting to our GM Safety, Risk & Compliance, we are looking for a motivated, passionate, and authentic individual who believes in our mission to make Australia a cleaner and safer place to live.
Based at our Sandy Ridge Facility and working a 14/14 roster, you will be a specialised emergency response professional responsible for providing first aid, medical support, conduct biological monitoring (bloods and urine) and emergency response services at Sandy Ridge.
The role includes supporting the logistics team in a relief waste receivals capacity.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the Emergency Response Team (ERT) in managing any incidents
- Manage medical equipment/consumables/medication/facilities, ensuring sufficient stock levels and compliance
- Provide emergency and non-emergency assistance and medical care to the site
- Drug and alcohol testing
- Development and training of Emergency Response Team (ERT) including coordinating site emergency drills
- Ensure emergency response equipment, vehicles and PPE are inspected and maintained in a high level of operational readiness
- Administering vaccinations and conducting biological sample collection (Blood, Urine and other)
- Injury management, inclusive of paperwork, liaising with patients, physios, doctors and other necessary agencies
- Provide health & hygiene related awareness & information materials, including presentations to site workforce
- Ensure that all freight deliveries (Waste and Product) inbound are received, recorded and entered
Role Requirements
Mandatory:
- Certificate IV Health Care
- Advanced Life Support qualification
- Cert III in Mines Rescue and Response and/or Cert III in Public Safety
- Certified to collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
- Current WA Driver’s License
- Current National Police Clearance
Desirable
- Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing/Paramedicine with current unrestricted AHPRA Registration
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- HLTPAT002 Perform Venous Blood Collections
Experience
- Three plus years of experience working within a rural or remote medical service provider.
- Sound clinical reasoning & diagnostic skills.
- Emergency Response Team (ERT) experience
