A Senior Civil Operator is required to lead and coordinate the operational maintenance of our Rural drainage networks extending across the Southwest Region. You will possess a high degree of leadership and planning skills.

Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the operational maintenance of Rural Drainage assets in the Southwest region.
- Coordinate and manage effective operation, maintenance, and repairs to Rural Drainage assets in the Southwest.
- Assist with job planning to ensure safety and equipment is appropriately resourced and meets required standards.
- Provide advice and/or assist Trainees, Operators and other contractors as required.
- Liaise with Shires, consultants, and contractors for works projects to ensure legislative and company compliance.
- Record and document information relevant to scheduled work in an accurate and timely manner, including use of forms, computers and other devices as required.
- Ensure that all work is undertaken with safety as the priority and that activities are undertaken without compromising health and safety.

What we require from you

- Completion of Certificate III in National Water Package (NWP) is required.
- Valid Western Australian C Class Driver’s License (HR a bonus).
- Available for rostered overtime and call-out emergencies outside of normal working hours.
- High degree of technical knowledge relevant to the district assets or ability to demonstrate from a similar industry.
- Experience in heavy machinery operations; Tractors, Excavators, Skid steer.
